Let me tell you a little bit about myself. I’m a 24 year old gal who’s lived most of her life in Houston, Texas and is so happy to call it home. Born in northwest Louisiana, I spent my early childhood years honing my dramatic tendencies under the influence of and along-side my brother. My dad, a music major, got his degree while I was a kid and so I was fortunate enough to be exposed to music, theatre, opera, and art at an early age while he was in school.
I enjoy art in many forms, but feel like I'm really living when I’m on stage… often pretending to be somebody else. I try my hand at painting every once-in-an-inspired-while and love the collaborative efforts of joining with a fellow writer to create something real and honest on a page. I love words and stories, deep thoughts and sincere confessions, valiant gestures and portraits of everyday heroism. Somewhat of an idealist, I try to see the redemptive side of any negative and to discover the treasures that lie, unpolished, just outside the view of the unseeking.
I spent some time in Manhattan at the Neighborhood Playhouse School of the Theatre learning how to “act good.” It was, as people always say, a life-changing and a challenging time, but, in hindsight, worth it all. I know that the things I learned, the experiences I had, and the ways that my faith in God and His pure goodness and faithfulness to me were tried, tested, and proven was all for my better.
Thanks for stopping by and I hope that during your visit, you find yourself at peace and at home…
